Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy

Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple is the very famous temple in Tirumala which is located exactly to the opposition of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala hill. This is a very ancient temple get priority after Shri bhuvaraha Swamy and Every day after offering naivedyam to Lord Venkateshwara, it is brought to this temple.

There is a fruitful story behind this temple, Once Lord Hanuman when he was young wants to leave Tirumala to search camel. His mother Anjanadevi got anger because of her son’s mischiefs activities leads to tie his hands with cuffs and ordered him to stand in that place until she returned.

It is believed that his mother Anjana Devi didn’t  returned to this place and stayed back in Agasa Ganga river, Hence the idol of Lord Hanuman inside of this temple will be seen uniquely where his both of hands tied with handcuffs. Bedi is the other name to cuffs in local language here, That’s why this hanuman named as Bedi Hanuman

This temple is opening at 5:30 AM every day morning and closing at 9 PM. Abhishegam and Arathanas are performed in the regular interval of sessions and Special Alangaram and Aradhana takes place once in the year on Hanuman’s Jayanti.
